Our farms in Maryland and Idaho are as committed to sustainability as they are to organic farming.
Our Maryland farm is introducing solar energy projects, water conservation and non-renewable energy use initiatives, as well as working with the Natural Resources Conservation Service to address storm water overflow. Our Idaho farm is composting manure and bedding, and ensuring that a majority of the farm’s forage needs are grown onsite. And while today we don’t have an answer, we’re actively working toward meeting our industry’s biggest challenge: methane emissions. For more information, visit horizonorganic.com/ourfarms.
