From our plants and farms, to our headquarters in Broomfield, Colo., the principle is the same: we must make every effort to reduce our energy use. This standard is exemplified in our day-to-day operations and the overall efficiency of the buildings themselves. Our offices in Colorado — which have offset 100 percent of electricity usage with renewable credits since 2006 — are also furnished with chairs and carpet partially made from recycled materials. Thanks to these efforts, we hope to achieve LEED certification.
