Our City of Industry plant recently initiated a new project that will enable them to reduce their CO2 emissions by 361,000 pounds per year. That’s the equivalent of 4,199 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.
Investing in our plants has made a significant impact on the efficiency of our operations. We’re able to conduct on-site energy audits, implement lean manufacturing practices, and build efficiencies through machinery, equipment and lighting improvements — keeping us competitive, while also reducing our environmental footprint. Our soymilk plants are also able to reuse okara, the pulp byproduct of soymilk production, which we send to local farmers as a high-protein ingredient for livestock feed.
